Tītī

With support from the Taranaki Regional Council, we are now routinely monitoring more than 40 Oi or Tītī burrows along our coastline.  With intensive pest control being carried out by landowners these populations have had a successful year with 16 definite tītī fledged and banded and many others we couldn’t get to.  Tītī only lay one egg per season so it is important they get the best chance at successfully raising their chick.
