A significant achievement has been the blessing of five new homes for Ngāti Mutunga whānau. This kaupapa represents an important step in supporting whānau wellbeing and stability, while strengthening connections to whenua, whakapapa, and community. The blessing ceremony brought together kaumātua, whānau, and iwi representatives, reflecting the values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga, and reinforcing the role of iwi in supporting the security and aspirations of our people.
The completion and blessing of these new homes marks a moment of great significance for Ngāti Mutunga, as we warmly welcome whānau into spaces they can now call their own.
