WhyOra Hui Whānau

We value the strong relationship we have built with WhyOra, a partnership grounded in shared aspirations for our people and a commitment to empowering whānau to thrive in education, employment, and career pathways.

WhyOra work closely with taiohi and whānau to identify their aspirations and support them to turn those goals into meaningful and rewarding career pathways. Through guidance, encouragement, and practical support, they help whānau see what’s possible and take confident steps toward their future.

Each year, Ngāti Mutunga supports this kaupapa by attending hui whānau at the beginning of the year and throughout the year. These evenings provide valuable opportunities to connect directly with whānau, participate in kōrero around education and employment, and share information about the grants and scholarship opportunities available through the iwi.

These spaces are more than just information sessions they are a chance to meet whānau where they are, build relationships, and help them navigate what support is available. They also create opportunities for whānau to reconnect in the iwi space, update or complete registrations, and strengthen their connection to Ngāti Mutunga.

Our ongoing partnership with WhyOra continues to create positive pathways for taiohi and whānau, supporting aspirations to flourish and ensuring our people are informed, connected, and empowered to achieve their goals.
