Delivery of the first stage of the Onaero Reserve Masterplan is underway. Initial electrical work has removed redundant power boxes and lighting in the Western Awa area of the domain. At WITT, students on the Build-A-Bridge programme have built a bridge that will take the access road over the daylighted Mangatiti Stream. Currently this stream is culverted and earthworks to remove the culvert and daylight the stream will commence on 10th March, taking approximately 4-5 weeks. The banks of the stream will then be planted over the autumn of 2026. Keep a look out for whānau planting day pānui.
