New Plymouth District Council – Shaping Our Future Together


The New Plymouth District Mayor’s Shaping Our Future Together programme has set and exciting vision for the district.  The vision is supported by the principles of Manaaki – Tangata – Whenua – Ngāmotu.  To deliver on this vision, the Council is developing a 30 year ‘big picture’ plan which will bring together the strategic approach to planning for the district.

Whānau, hapū, iwi, Māori will be an important part of any strategy for the district and we will be holding two consultation hui:


  • Owae Marae, 5.30pm on Wednesday 22 April
  • Ōakura Pā, 5.30pm on Thursday 23 April
