Ngāti Mutunga proudly acknowledges the outstanding achievement of our wāhine Māori Rugby League team, who were crowned Haka Champions at the recent Taranaki Māori Rugby League Tournament. Their performance exemplified the wairua, mana and pride of Ngāti Mutunga, both on and off the field, and was a powerful representation of our iwi.
We also extend our sincere mihi to our tāne team, who demonstrated immense determination and commitment throughout the tournament. Competing in challenging conditions, both teams showed resilience, unity and heart, leaving everything on the field and making Ngāti Mutunga immensely proud.
