Tēnā koutou e te whānau,
Work on both the Ngapapa Street and Whakapaki Street homes is nearing completion. All five homes are looking beautiful, and we wanted to share a brief update ahead of the opening next weekend.
Ngapapa Street
The homes are progressing well and cultural elements are nearly in place. Landscaping is complete and looking great, with high-quality plants and finishes ready for the whānau who will soon be moving in.
Whakapaki Street
These homes are also looking great and are almost complete. As with Ngapapa Street, there are a few minor touch-ups to be finished before opening day. Due to recent weather, landscaping has taken slightly longer than expected but is on track to be completed by the end of the week, allowing ample time for final clean-ups.
The ceremonial opening for these homes will be held on 7 February 2026, starting at 6.30am. Please note that protective clear plastic will be laid throughout the homes to protect flooring and carpets prior to the proceedings.
We look forward to seeing you all next weekend as we open these homes for our whānau. Please be mindful that the homes remain active construction sites and are restricted areas.
