Tuna Surveys for this quarter have been completed with the next round due around June. We invited Mimi School to help us at Mangamaio and Uruti School came down to Uruti stream behind the school.
General
I have begun Tuna surveys to inform our mauri compass tool for this quarter. We have completed the Urenui awa catchment and caught a record-breaking 41 Tuna. I put this down to mahi being carried out around the marama of whiro, I can’t always plan surveys around the maramataka unfortunately as I have limited time and resources but I can try.
