We have finally been able to complete this project with a one day wānanga held at the Community Centre in the first week of the October School holidays. We again had Malcolm Arnott and Murray McCurdy from GNS leading the project and they brought one of their colleagues Jesse Pikering with them to show how to make taonga puoro from the papa. The papa or clay was sourced from Waitoetoe. It was a very interesting day and we managed to avoid the rain during our field trip to Waitoetoe.
